The main downside is that it is restricted to working with 8-bit files but for many people that is not a major issue. I believe you can download a free trial.Įven though I have used Photoshop since the third version and myriad other programs/plugins including Aperture (which I still use) I always keep Elements around for basic things or just fooling around with plugins.
